Dr. Jay Chan grew up in the North Burnaby area. He graduated from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Dentistry in 2014. During his time at dental school, he participated in dental mission trips to Honduras and Nepal along with surgical externships in New York City and New Orleans. While as a student, he practiced in Hay River, Northwest Territories. He was the recipient of the top prosthodontics student award in his graduating class. Upon graduation he practiced in Saskatchewan for several years. He and his young family soon returned home to the west coast. He currently resides in East Van where he and his wife Sharon are attempting, successfully at times, to raise their school aged daughters Amelia and Olivia.
